- People are not omnipotent: we have two hands that can only reach into our immediate surroundings.
- People are not omnipresent. We care about what is here, now.
- People are tribal: we're designed focus on our immediate community
The most successful organization models will not fight this pattern, but turn it into positive strength.
For example, rather than having a large, homogenous group, break up the group into small, agile teams, each responsible for one part of the project. Encourage team members to take ownership and responsibility for the people in their group.
